Pico Blanco is one of the Tres Marias mountains that overlook San Jose in Costa Rica. Its presence and the light are everchanging- at times bright and majestic, at other times shrouded in mist. The local boys played soccer nearly every day on the concrete bridge in front of our house which was the only level ground in the neighborhhood. The bamboo grove across the street grew thick and sturdy in the super fertile volcanic soil.
