I always loved the drive up Comptche-Ukiah
Rd. from Mendocino to Comptche, especially in the early autumn.
Here, the maple trees along the Albion River would turn their
bright colors and make splashes of color along a dark, evergreen
forest pathway. I missed the changing of the leaves that we
had on the East Coast, and this seemed like God was giving
me a gift and saying He remembered how much those colors meant
to me.
