Once a year in the town of San Antonio de Escazu on the flanks of the Tres Marias mountains in Costa Rica, the bishop comes to bless the "boyeros" and their oxcarts. These highly decorated wooden carts are a Costa Rican specialty and are still in use today to transport various goods (coffee, sugar cane) to market.
